About Arne Hurty
As BayCreative's CEO, Arne Hurty directs the strategic marketing vision for BayCreative's clients, helping them to refine their unique identity and prioritize their marketing efforts. Under Arne's leadership, BayCreative has become one of the Bay Area's most respected full-service marketing firms by helping clients to achieve their business objectives with innovative, effective marketing programs. Arne is a proven marketing designer and problem solver with over 30 years experience developing award-winning creative for marketing, advertising, and sales. Arne's design work can be found at the forefront of materials used by hundreds of companies. He has helped solved problems for marketing managers through the use of print, web, direct response, video and new media. In the mid-80s, Arne was one of the first to explore desktop publishing. Riding the forefront of that new technology, Arne earned multiple honors and awards for his graphics in publishing design and illustration. During his time at Macworld magazine, Arne was honored by the AIGA for his pioneering work on informational graphic design and cited as a major contributor to honorary placement in the National Magazine Awards for design. As the first design director for Macworld Online, Arne helped shape a key web property in the infancy of the Internet. He as gone on to design scores of other websites for both business and consumer interests. Arne is a noted speaker on graphics and design at universities and conferences such as Macworld and Thunder Lizard. Since founding BayCreative in 1996, Arne has developed a nimble and responsive agency with a proven record of success. About Scott Danish
Scott Danish, President and co-owner, joined BayCreative in 2009 and brings his unique and enthusiastic perspective to sales, marketing integration and business development. Scott is a proven marketing executive with more than 23 years of marketing experience in driving product, service, channel and corporate marketing strategies in multiple industries. Prior to BayCreative, Scott was a Director of Market Management with Cisco Systems. In this capacity, Scott lead a team of world-class marketers that delivered strategic, innovative and integrated marketing campaigns that resulted in more than $2.3 billion in Cisco Services revenues from large businesses and Federal agencies across the U.S. and Canada. Before Cisco Systems, Scott was a Vice President of Global Marketing for CNET Networks, where he had responsibility for all global marketing, product management and sales support of the Channel division. Prior to joining CNET Networks, Scott held the position of Director of Product Marketing at PeopleSoft (now Oracle) where he ran marketing communications, programs and operations for the company's global supply chain management division. Before PeopleSoft, Scott held senior marketing positions at OnDisplay (now Vignette) and IDG's PC World Communications. Scott graduated with honors in business administration from the University of Oregon and attended the M.B.A. program at Golden Gate University. He lives in Walnut Creek, CA with his wife Lisa and children Melissa (18) and Jack (14). His years in news as both a cameraman (KFTY TV 50) and a news anchor (KSRO Newstalk Radio) combines the passion he has for the image and communicating with people. Ben has found, working with BayCreative, that these assets greatly enhance the final product. Ben majored in photography and communications with a minor in psychology at the Santa Rosa Junior College. Among other awards received, Ben won BEST DOCUMENTARY from the Associated Press in 2006. Howard Baldwin Howard has covered business and technology since 1987. His clients include American Express, Cisco Systems, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, and Oracle. Howard believes that a company's Web site content should incorporate business value as much as it does marketing messages, in order to entice customers and prospects not only to return to a site, but also to establish the company as a trusted source of information. A native of Silicon Valley and a graduate of Stanford University, he lives in Sunnyvale, California with his wife and four cats. Chris Begley Chris specializes in video production, cinematography, editing, on-camera work, and voiceover talent. He ran the TV station at The University of San Francisco (USF), developed a sports show, and created a cooking program during his time there. Over the past five years, Chris has been commissioned to film in several European countries and throughout the United States. He has also filmed and edited over a dozen videos profiling professors in the USF School of Law, and has created narrative, experimental, and documentary films. Chris graduated with honors in media studies and minors in film and philosophy from USF, and currently lives in San Francisco. Justine Chen Justine brings over 14 years of broad marketing experience, including: project management, strategic marketing, product marketing, alliance/partnership management, product launch, product messaging/positioning, market research, and competitive analysis in both high-tech and financial industries. With her technical background, she launched the flagship software and managed the key strategic partnership for the top FPGA provider, Xilinx. Justine graduated from UC Santa Barbara with high honors in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Dave Damianakes Dave has been writing for the Bay Area's high tech industry since 1994, and has collaborated regularly with BayCreative. He specialize in end user materials for low- and non-technical audience. Since he does not specialize on one technology or technical field, Dave brings few assumptions into his work, and his perspective stays fresh, which makes it easier to write to his audience. His extensive background in start-ups has accustomed Dave to high pressure and tight deadlines. He lives in San Leandro, California where he also writes fiction and produces wine. Nicolas Gerard Nicolas brings his background in public relations, sales, strategic planning and social media marketing. His specialty is in messaging through new media. Nicolas recently spent one year living in central Brazil and even more recently spent one year in Oxford, England. Nicolas received his B.A in Communications with an emphasis in Marketing from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He currently lives in San Mateo, California with his twin brother. Laura Gschwind Laura brings over 12+ years of experience in the biotech and medical device industries, with a range of experience in consumer and medical marketing. On the client side Laura's breadth of experience includes marketing and corporate communications at Guidant Cardiovascular, Target Therapeutics and Collagen Biomedical. Her experience also includes account supervision positions for Satellite Laboratory Services and Netfira. In her role as account manager, at BayCreative, Laura enjoys collaborating, managing multiple demands, creatively managing resources, and ensuring client's needs are met. Laura lives in Burlingame with her husband and two sons. Susan Kuchinskas Susan writes about technology, business, art, design, culture and society for BayCreative and a wide variety of publications. Susan's work has appeared in Technology Review, Wired, the Los Angeles Times and Business 2.0. Her staff experience includes stints as a senior writer for Adweek, Business 2.0 M-Business, and internetnews.com. Susan makes her home in Berkeley, California. Carrie Meurer Carrie is a freelance front-end website developer and SEO (search engine optimization) expert who has collaborated regularly with BayCreative. She honed her technical skills during the dot com era while working at the San Francisco start-up company 415, Inc. Carrie grew up in Madison, Wisconsin and now lives with her family in Denver, Tracy Pidgeon Tracy has spent over two years working with BayCreative as a designer, collaborating on everything from creating websites, and flash demos, to case studies, logos and advertisements. Tracy studied at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California and received a degree in fine arts with an emphasis in new media. Music, fashion, photography and fine art inspire Tracy in her field of work every day. Tracy recently moved to New York with her fiance and adorable yellow lab. Stephanie Reyes Stephanie brings over 10 years of project management experience with a marketing background that spans publicity, promotions, online advertising and research and in film/television production. After 10 years in New York where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Advertising and Marketing at the Fashion Institute of Technology, Stephanie returned to her Bay Area roots where she pursued film and television production. She's filled a variety of roles ranging from casting to script supervisor to producer, honing her skills in pre-production, field, and post. Stephanie continues to bring the highest level of client servicing to all her projects. When not delighting her clients, you can find her perfecting her swan dive, crafting her Scrabble skills or pursuing stamps for her passport. Denise Shea Denise Shea has worked as a designer specializing in presentation design and production for more than twenty years. She is a consultant specializing in Microsoft PowerPoint. Denise focuses on comprehensive visual communication and content development as applied to presentations in all areas of business and education. Denise was born in New York City and recently relocated to San Diego, California where she makes her home with her husband and son. Mike Stevens Mike has worked in high tech marketing and journalism for over 20 years. His clients include Hewlett-Packard, Dell, Oracle, numerous start-ups, and beyond technology, Amazon.com, Kaplan University and Educational Testing Services (the SAT company). He is a firm believer that facts, not adjectives, are what compel buyers to buy, and he is an expert at unearthing market advantages for his clients. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of UC Berkeley, he is fluent in several European languages and brings a global perspective to every project. His high tech thriller, Fortuna, is now available in bookstores and on amazon.com. Chris Vega Chris brings over 20+ years of product management, marcom strategy, and project management skills to the BayCreative team. Her experience includes account supervision positions with Bank of America's Internal Agency and M. Gould and Co. On the client side, she held Vice President positions with Bank of America, EurekaBank, and Charles Schwab and was most recently Director of Marketing Communications for Message Systems. Inc. Chris has a keen understanding of client needs and challenges and the practical know how to to drive to project goals. A 4th generation San Franciscan, she lives in Burlingame, CA with her two teenage daughters and pets. Michelle Woodruff Michelle is an Interactive Designer skilled in all aspects of Web Development, from page design to Flash programming. She takes a particular interest in always creating a positive and cohesive online user experience. With her dual training in Computer Science and Design, Michelle is able to find the best technical and creative solutions to website issues. When she isn't reading about the latest web trends, Michelle may be found rock climbing or brewing beer with her husband in their San Francisco, California home. Dave Zeltser As one of the most recent project managers to join the BayCreative team, Dave has spent time in a variety of industries, from managing a family-owned and operated collateral loan office, to one of the Top 5 sales reps for Pacific Bell Wireless. His most recent experience before joining BayCreative was as Manager of Lender and Vendor sales at Ellie Mae, where he managed the Lender Sales division including large scale partner integrations with large banks including Countrywide, Bank of America, and Citibank. Dave's focus at BayCreative is in marketing automation and marketing strategy. He received his undergraduate degree in Business from Saint Mary's College, and later returned there for his M.B.A. with a concentration in Marketing. Dave currently lives in Walnut Creek, California close to his family. |
