Branding/Identity/Messaging: CNET Channel

Challenge CNET Channel is the world's leading independent source of product information, supporting online catalogs and traditional sales processes with detailed content on over 2 million technology products, and by adding over 45,000 SKUs each month. Data is maintained in 12 languages and supports online catalogs in 35 national markets, giving the company an unmatched global presence. CNET Channel needed a corporate identity that would support its global presence, while also acknowledging both the connection with the larger CNET organization and differentiating CNET Channel as a unique entity.

BayCreative Solution We began the process by a series of meeting with CNET Channel management to identify the company's goals and objectives for the future. An iterative process was employed, where BayCreative presented initial concepts and kept refining and improving them. To reflect CNET Channel's expanding global presence, we incorporated the global aspect into a new logomark that captures the company's worldwide presence and reinforces its content-centered approach. Typography and color further communicate a spirit of worldliness and quality. The new logomark is being rolled out on other marketing collateral produced by BayCreative, including a new web site and a series of online product demos.
